"On the Job"

My first day at work today involved the following things:

-my first super-crowded new york subway commute, the kind of crowded where everyone is in a constant state of accidentally being groped.
-my first cup of coffee since the end of my last job (coffee is a very work-specific beverage for me)
-a good grilled chicken sandwich with pesto mayonnaise
-a few hours of doing pretty much nothing, being nervous about the phone
-learning some processes that i am expected to undertake soon
-re-acquainting myself with my old friend, final cut pro
-listening in on a marathon session between a top ad agency producer and a top composer (my boss), working on a super bowl commercial for a huge brand (i.e. they were very keen on getting it RIGHT)
-a 14.5 hour workday!
