End of an Era

Miller is taking the caffeine out of Sparks.  This is the end of an era of hilariously ridiculous alcoholic beverages.  I always viewed Sparks as more of a symbol than something you actually drank.  Like, you'd have a Sparks to symbolically begin a terribly and gloriously irresponsible night.

I also always enjoyed the subconscious association of the drink variety with the Kevin Thomas variety, though they really had little in common.

"Energy-alcohol drinks 'look and taste like popular non-alcoholic energy drinks,' Maine Atty. Gen. Steve Rowe said in a press release."

Has this man ever imbibed a Sparks or a Bud Extra? They taste waaay crappier than energy drinks.

Also, they're not discontinuing the brand, they're just taking out the caffeine? All that leaves you with is shitty malt liquor.

Shitty malt liquor that tastes like liquified Flintstones orange vitamins and leaves you with awful, awful heartburn.
